Learn MoreEI Type Silicon Steel Sheet (Three-phase Sheet)
3UI laminated core is used to manufacture three-phase transformers. In a transformer with 3 UI laminated cores, each of the three laminated core arms carries a coil body. Compared with the EI sheets, the 3U1 piece cannot be welded because the joints of the E piece and the I piece are within the coil body. Therefore, during the transformer manufacturing process, the E and I sheets must be nested within each other.
EI Type silicon steel sheet (single phase)
EI Lamination is one of the most popular design types for manufacturing single-phase transformers. This simple single-coil layout (sometimes referred to as a "shell" transformer) provides a cost-effective way to produce a wide range of transformers. These range from small PCB mounted units to much larger types that may be found in control panels or stand-alone enclosures.
UI Type Silicon Steel Sheet
UI Laminated core is used as a alternative to EI lamination core in single-phase transformers. They allow for the construction of slimmer transformers. In the case of transformers with UI sheets, each of the two arms of the U-piece holds a coil body. UI sheets cannot be welded since the cut edges of the U and I sheets are within the coil body. Therefore they must be nested within each other. This can be done manually or with a stacker.
Stacked (finished) silicon steel sheets
As a special series, the individual, lockable panels of the EI series are characterized by their integrated locking mechanism, allowing particularly fast and economical handling. The separate, lockable sheets do not have to be nested within each other, but can be slid into the coil body from either side of the package and snap together. For this purpose we offer processing machines (tamping machine models 300). Commonly used DIN standard El coil bodies can be used.
